Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or BTS/DUT) in Accounting, Finance or Business; final‑year students considered for apprenticeship contract.
  • Technical: Basic double‑entry knowledge; familiarity with Excel. Any exposure to Lux GAAP or IFRS is a plus but not required.
  • Languages: Fluent English; working knowledge of French or German advantageous.
  • Soft skills: Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, ability to follow procedures, team spirit, and good communication skills.
  • Right to work: EU citizenship or valid Luxembourg trainee permit.

Benefits

  • Weeks 1–4: onboarding, Lux GAAP basics, ERP navigation, invoice processing.
  • Months 2–6: full responsibility for a small SOPARFI’s bookkeeping and bank recs; begin accruals.
  • Months 6–12: assist in quarterly closings for PE/RE fund SPVs; first draft of VAT return; Excel automation project.
  • Months 12–18: present year‑end trial balance to senior accountant, liaise with auditors on simple PBC questions, start ACCA/OEC modules.
